NIKE Joins War Against Police In Most Ironic Way

NIKE and Colin Kaepernick are now stuck with each other and time will tell if the move will pay off.

Initially, NIKE saw its stock price take a hit and then it shot back up as sales from certain segments saw a jump.

Publicity will do that  – make big short-term moves to stock prices – but annoying police is a dumb long-term strategy as NIKE will learn the hard way.

As reported by The Daily Wire:

A manager at a Nike store in Arkansas reportedly called the police on a man who was sitting in the bed of his truck waving a pro-police flag in the parking lot outside the store.

“Now, what better place to wave the flag than right here in front of the Nike store,” Jimmie Cavin said in a video that he posted to Facebook, according to FOX 16.

Cavin said that his priority was to show support for “law enforcement, firefighters and paramedics.”

After about 15 minutes of sitting in front of the store and waving his “Thin Blue Line” flag, Cavin said that the police showed up after the Nike store manager called the police on him.

The police quickly realized that Cavin did not do anything wrong and then left.

“So, Nike called the police on the guy supporting the police for supporting the police,” Cavin continued.

The incident happened after Nike recently made former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick the face of a new #JustDoIt campaign the company launched. Kaepernick repeatedly kneeled during the national anthem and showed disrespect to law enforcement officials, wearing socks that portrayed police as pigs and donated $25,000 to a group that honored a convicted cop killer.
