America has spoken and Colin Kaepernick and Nike better listen up. They won’t, to be sure, fresh off all the media love they received for their publicity stunt.

But what goes up must come down and Nike just learned that lesson the hard way.

As reported by Breitbart: A poll taken since the Labor Day release of Colin Kaerpernick’s “Just Do It” ad for Nike sportswear, finds that 36 percent are less likely to buy Nike products.

The poll conducted by Rasmussen between September 9th and 10th, found that 45 percent of respondents have at least a somewhat unfavorable view of former San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick. On the other hand, 40 percent have some level of a favorable view of the former player.

As to those with stronger feelings, 21 percent said they have a very favorable opinion of the national anthem protest inventor while 31 percent have a very unfavorable opinion of him. But 15 percent said they were undecided.

The poll comes on the heels of the September 3 release of Nike’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” ad campaign. The company chose the controversial former NFL player and immediately plunged itself into controversy.

The Rasmussen poll was taken of 1,000 American adults with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 points.

The poll was released just after the results of a Quinnipiac poll that revealed slightly different results. The Quinnipiac poll taken a few days before the Rasmussen poll found that a majority of voters, 67 percent, believe that NFL players have a right to protest during the national anthem.

The Quinnipiac poll also found that 49 percent approved of Nike’s choice of Kaepernick for its “Just Do It” ad while 37 percent disapproved.

  1. Dear Nike
I wanted to explain something to you that far too many Americans have either forgot, or never learned in the first place. This country is the best damn country in the world. Mind you we have made some mistakes in the 242 yrs of our existence. But in that time, we were not the only country to make these mistakes, hell some made worse.
But the fact is we do not have a draft, we have free men and women, that volunteer every single day, to defend our country. To keep it free and a republic. These men and women don’t do it for the pay, we do it for our love of our country. Then we get these overpaid thugs, punks that want to disrespect our Flag, our Anthem, our Country! That tends to piss us off just a hair. These jackass’s don’t serve anything but their own wallet. We serve for 20 to 30 years, and our pensions are not enough to raise families on. But you don’t see us protesting about our pensions or our medical care. But I would like to know how many of your top executive’s would sacrifice their million dollar salaries to join up in one of our 5 service’s. I am willing to bet none. After all you’ve got big mansion’s, banking accounts that we won’t ever see, and you have US! The brave Patriots that will put ourselves in harm’s way for our family. You see each and every one of my brothers and sisters in the service, would try our damndest to safe another brother and sister, we bleed Red, White and Blue. And for each brother and sister that is sacrificed, there is not one that does not feel it. We don’t give a damn if he’s white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian we are all members of 2 things that make us pretty unique, one we are Americans, second we are members of the greatest country on God’s green earth military. There are too many taking our country for granted, those that deserve to be in your ads, are Patriots, you can’t recognize them right off, most will still wear their dog tags, or a hat. When we walk into Lowe’s or Home Depot, most of the people there know us on sight. They thank us for our service, we say thank you.
So if you want someone that has really sacrificed something, look for one of these guys or gals, if you visit a VA hospital, you will find alot of us, waiting on medical care. Alot of my brothers and sisters are missing limbs, brain injury, burns. We don’t need you, you need us. All these hero worshipping for someone that can throw a football, or baseball. If you want to see a true hero, go see some of my brothers and sisters. They will not tell you they are heroes, but I’m here to tell you they are, each and every one of them. Those that gave Uncle Sam that check, for up to include his or her life.
